Google Pixel phones have earned a name for themselves in the Android universe. When Google ditched the Nexus lineup of smartphones, everyone thought it was a bad decision, but look where we are today. Among the many other great things about the Google Pixel phones, the camera capabilities of the device stand out from the crowd. Right from the Original Google Pixel, Google has set a new benchmark for smartphone photography.
Just like the last gen Pixel phones, the Google Pixel 2 duo also gained huge props for their insane camera performances. While most, if not all, manufacturers use a dual camera setup for taking sharper photos and portrait mode photos, Google is effortlessly blowing every single competition out of the water with a simple single camera setup. And what more, Google Pixel phones even come with selfie portrait option. I guess Google Pixel 2 was the first phone to ship with portrait selfies option.
In this article, we are bringing you the Pixel 2 Google Camera App APK for OnePlus 6. You do not need root to install this on your OnePlus 6.
OnePlus 7 Series gets Android Q Developer Preview 2! As the name suggests, this build of Android Q is best suited for developers and early adopters. As it is still in an early stage of development, we do not recommend flashing this ROM if you have little or no experience in software development or flashing custom ROMs. Download/Install Android 8.1 Oreo On OnePlus 5 With AOKP ROM (Codename: cheeseburger): OnePlus is a well-known brand across the Globe. Google Pixel 2 Camera for OnePlus 6
Google phones are all about software, for the most part. No 6GB+ RAM option, but the phones are smoother than many other flagship devices with 6GB of RAM (looking at you Note8). Reason? Software. Amazing personal smart assistant; again software. No fancy camera setup, but still insanely great photos. How? You guessed it right, software again.

The Google Pixel 2 devices are an example of how well a device can perform with a well-optimized software. While the main reason behind all the great photos from Pixel 2 is mainly software, it was only a matter of time till the features were ported to other devices.

OnePlus 6 Google Camera
There are several version of Google Camera for many devices out there. At this point, it will be a surprise if a well-known device doesn’t have a Google Camera port. I have personally used it on two of my devices and the results are stunning and I can personally vouch that the hype is real. If you have not done it already, do give the OnePlus 6 Google Camera Port a try and I am sure you will not be disappointed. Recommended Settings
These APKs don’t require any additional configuration, but, on top of the usual options (camera sounds, video resolution, etc) there are a few things you can change (explore the settings menu!):
- HDR+ parameters: “Default” is enough for most people. Higher settings may produce better photos, especially in hard conditions, but it takes more time to process.
- HDR+ image quality: Change the jpg compression (a lower value results in smaller files, but the quality is worse).
- HDR+ RAW+JPG: Save RAW files.
- Correction of auto-exposure HDR or Auto-Exposure: Controls shutter speed, not 100% stable. Works better in low light and with HDR enhanced enabled.
- HDR+ enhanced for portrait mode: Slower, but better portrait photos.
- Disable zoom in portrait mode: By default, it zooms in a bit.
- Use Nexus6P model: Photos with better details/sharpness (and noisier).
- Since slow motion doesn’t work on Oreo, you can hide the option from the menu:
Settings > Advanced > Fix Camera API2 > “Disable video slow motion”
Troubleshooting
Android Oreo users: if you can’t see your photos from inside Google Camera, go to “Debugging and tools”, uncheck “camera.use_photos” and restart the app.
Options/options names can be changed/removed depending on the version.

Guide to Install TWRP Recovery and Root OnePlus 5/5T on Android Pie
Just like the previous Android version, Android Pie also brings some complications to the customization scene for the OnePlus 5 and 5T. The official TWRP doesn’t play well with Pie, lacks decryption and Project Treble support and also wouldn’t allow you to flash full OxygenOS ROM packages.
To overcome this problem, you will need to install unofficial TWRP recovery on your OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T that is built on the Android Pie and latest TWRP source code. You can either use blu_spark TWRP by famous kernel developer eng.stk or and Codeworkx TWRP by Recognized Developer codeworkx, respectively. Both of these unofficial TWRP recovery builds are based on Android Pie source code.
Once you have flashed either one of the stated TWRP recovery builds, you can easily root OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T on Android Pie using the latest version of Magisk.
